The Society’s archive of Anna Jane Vardill’s published and unpublished works was created over fifteen years ago and optimized for viewing on computer screens. Smartphones and tablets are now the most popular devices for viewing web pages. Consequently the Society has undertaken the task of converting the archive to a responsive layout that should be readable on screens of all sizes.
The project will take several weeks. In addition to making the site more accessible, the conversion will provide an opportunity to review the content, correct errors, and install a more efficient search engine that does not rely on external resources.
