Translations of Vardill Stories

M. André-Marc Aymé has graciously granted the Society permission to publish his translations of three Vardill stories from the European Magazine: “The Spaniard” (August 1817), “Sandy Fraser” (May 1818), and “The Bronze Statue” (May 1820). These are now available on the Society’s website as “L’espagnole”, “Sandy Fraser”, and “La statue de bronze”.

M. Aymé has also drawn the Society’s attention to stories translated into Dutch and German. The Dutch translations are available as “Juana, Of Het Slagtoffer Van Den Minnenijd” (The Spaniard) and “Het Bronzen Beeld” (The Bronze Statue). The German translations will follow.
